Martial arts is not just a sport but a lifestyle. It is not about being able to hurt someone or get into shape. It teaches skills that can positively empower your life in all aspects. Meditation and a willingness to learn is all that you need.
Martial arts takes dedication and years of practice for one to be able to do well. It also take many years for reaction to become instinct. It is not for the weak or for the ones who like to start something but never finishes it.
In my experience the practice of martial arts has helped me in my personal life as well. I try to be above average, expect more from myself. I have confidence in myself to handle any situation and there is no task to hard to handle.
